Polynucleotides work in a similar way to skin boosters and this blog will give provide a better understanding of Polynucleotides, jargon free! We'll describe what they do and why we should be adding them to our treatment list...
What is a Polynucleotide?
Polynucleotides are injectables, often derived from Salmon DNA. They contain many healing qualities which help repair damaged tissue and increase collagen production. They can help with skin pigmentation which is a popular attribute for patients as it can provide skin with a fresh new look without using a dermal filler product. They do not add volume to the skin in the way dermal fillers do, they stimulate your own skin to revitalise itself.
What do Polynucleotides do?
Polynucleotides have a range of benefits so they can be used to address an array of patient concerns. Polynucleotides are regenerative medicine, therefore, they have wound-healing and bio-stimulating properties. They are predominantly used to help improve skin quality such as elasticity, deep lines, dullness, ageing and more. There are no risks you could expect with fillers such as occlusions, lumps etc and allergic reactions are highly unlikely as it is composed of DNA particles. The results can be noticed after a few weeks, complete results can take a few months to be seen.
Why would someone want Polynucleotide treatment?
Here is a list of things Polynucleotides can be used to treat:
- Acne scarring
