Medical aesthetics is a boom industry in the UK with more and more dentists, doctors and nurses are choosing to work in this area. Not only is it a very interesting area to work in it also allows opportunities to work full or part time and generate more income!

As a training academy we are often asked how do set up your aesthetic business so here is a check list we have prepared for you.

These are some of the important initial points to consider:

• Training – Start with a Foundation Botox and dermal filler course, make sure whatever training company you go to they offer lots of after support
• Once you have finished your training you want to think of how you are going to set up working for someone or setting up your own aesthetic business.
• Think of a company name and register it with Companies House.
• Design a logo.
• Decide on a location for your medical aesthetics clinic in Scotland.
• Will you be full-time or part-time?
• Will you be a sole trader, a limited company, a partnership or a limited liability partnership (LLP)?
• Ensure you are insured properly Hamilton Fraser are probably one of the longest established cosmetic insurance companies in the UK
• Source your equipment for your medical aesthetics clinic.
• Open a business account
